Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 packet gelatin powder
  • 3 tablespoons cold water
  • a pinch salt

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, sprinkle gelatin over cold water and let it sit for about 5 minutes to bloom.
  2. In a saucepan, combine heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Heat over medium heat until sugar is dissolved and the mixture is warm but not boiling.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the bloomed gelatin until fully dissolved.
  4. Pour the mixture into serving glasses or molds and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until set.
  5. Once set, serve chilled. You can top with fresh berries or a berry sauce if desired.
