  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups (240g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup (90g) chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sweetened condensed milk until smooth and well combined.
  3. Add the vanilla extract to the mixture and stir until incorporated.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. If desired, fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. The centers will look slightly underbaked but will firm up as they cool.
  8. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
