- 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
- 2 cups fresh blueberries
- 1 pound sponge cake, cut into cubes
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar

Instructions
- In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream with the powdered sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
- In a trifle dish or a large glass bowl, layer half of the sponge cake cubes at the bottom.
- Add half of the sliced strawberries and half of the blueberries on top of the cake layer.
- Spread half of the whipped cream over the fruit layer.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining sponge cake, strawberries, blueberries, and whipped cream.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
Notes
- You can substitute the sponge cake with ladyfingers or pound cake if desired.
