- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)
- 1 green onion, sliced (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, garlic, rice vinegar, ginger, and black pepper.
- Heat oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 2-3 minutes per side.
- Pour the sauce over the chicken, coating evenly.
- Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, basting halfway, until the chicken reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Garnish with sesame seeds and green onion. Serve hot.
Notes
- Chicken thighs can be used instead of breasts for extra juiciness.
- Adjust honey for more sweetness or soy sauce for saltiness.
- Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
