Description
A deliciously rich steak recipe paired with savory mushrooms and a luscious garlic butter sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 ribeye steaks (1-inch thick)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced (such as cremini or button)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
- Season the steaks generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steaks to the skillet.
- Cook the steaks for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until your desired doneness is reached. Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest on a plate.
- In the same skillet, add the sliced mushrooms. Sauté for about 5 minutes until they are browned and tender.
- Add the minced garlic to the mushrooms and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Stir in the butter and let it melt, mixing it with the mushrooms and garlic to create a sauce.
- Return the steaks to the skillet, spooning the garlic butter and mushrooms over the top.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, consider marinating the steaks in your favorite marinade for a few hours before cooking.
- Feel free to add other herbs such as thyme or rosemary for additional flavor.
