Ingredients
Scale
- 2 steaks (ribeye, sirloin, or your choice)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Season both sides of the steaks with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the steaks to the skillet and cook to your desired doneness (about 3-5 minutes per side for medium-rare).
- Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest on a plate.
- In the same skillet, add sliced mushrooms and cook until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for another minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard. Stir to combine.
- Bring the sauce to a simmer and let it cook for 2-3 minutes to thicken slightly.
- Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
- Return the steaks to the skillet, spooning the sauce over the top.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the steaks in your favorite marinade for at least 30 minutes before cooking.
- Feel free to add other herbs like thyme or rosemary to the sauce for additional flavor.
