Cooking steak in the air fryer is a quick and easy way to achieve a perfectly cooked, juicy steak with a delicious crust.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 Steak (ribeye, sirloin, or your choice) (about 1-inch thick)
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil (for brushing)
  • to taste Salt (preferably coarse sea salt)
  • to taste Black pepper (freshly ground)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic powder (optional)
  • for garnish Fresh herbs (rosemary or thyme) (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat the steak dry with paper towels. Brush both sides with olive oil.
  3. Season generously with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder if using.
  4. Place the steak in the air fryer basket, ensuring it is not overcrowded.
  5. Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through for even cooking. Adjust the time for your desired doneness: 10 minutes for medium-rare, 12 for medium.
  6. Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature (130°F for medium-rare, 140°F for medium).
  7. Once done, remove the steak from the air fryer and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
  8. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired and serve.

Notes

  • For best results, let the steak come to room temperature before cooking.
  • Cook times may vary based on the thickness of the steak and the specific air fryer model.
  • Experiment with different seasonings to customize the flavor.
