- 1 lb (450g) raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup lime juice (freshly squeezed)
- 1 ripe mango, diced
- 1 small red onion, finely chopped
- 1–2 jalapeño peppers, finely chopped (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 cup cilantro, chopped
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Avocado slices for garnish (optional)
- Tortilla chips for serving
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the shrimp and lime juice. Make sure the shrimp are fully submerged in the juice. Cover and refrigerate for 30-60 minutes until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.
- Once the shrimp are ready, drain excess lime juice and return the shrimp to the bowl.
- Add the diced mango, chopped red onion, jalapeños, and cilantro to the shrimp. Mix gently to combine.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Adjust spice level by adding more jalapeño if desired.
- Serve immediately with avocado slices on top and tortilla chips on the side.
