Ingredients

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1 1/2 cups boiling water
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Mix flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, and cocoa powder in a bowl.
- Add milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth.
- Pour batter into a greased baking dish.
- Sprinkle brown sugar and cocoa powder evenly over the batter.
- Slowly pour boiling water over the top without stirring.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until the top is set.
- Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
Notes
- Do not stir after adding boiling water.
- The cobbler forms its own chocolate sauce.
- Best eaten fresh.
