Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine all special sauce ingredients and mix well. Set aside.

- Divide ground beef into 4 equal portions, shape into balls without compacting too much.
- Once the skillet is hot, place the balls of beef in the skillet and season with salt and pepper.
- Using a heavy spatula or burger press, smash the balls down flat to form patties.
- Cook for about 2-3 minutes until a nice crust forms, then flip the patties over.
- Add a slice of cheese on top of each patty and let melt for another minute.
- Toast the hamburger buns on the skillet until golden brown.
- Assemble the burgers by spreading special sauce on the bottom bun, placing the lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles, followed by the cheesy patty, and finally topping with the upper bun.
- Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious smash burgers!
Notes
- For extra flavor, consider adding smoked paprika or cayenne pepper to the special sauce.
- For a classic touch, add bacon or avocado as additional toppings.
