Ingredients

  • 3 lbs beef short ribs
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Season the short ribs with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  2. Heat butter in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the ribs for 2-3 minutes per side.
  3. Transfer the ribs to the slow cooker.
  4. In a bowl, mix the ranch seasoning, beef broth, and heavy cream.
  5. Pour the mixture over the ribs in the slow cooker.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until tender.
  7. Serve hot with mashed potatoes or your favorite side.

Notes

  • For a thicker sauce, mix 1 tbsp cornstarch with 2 tbsp water and stir into the slow cooker 30 minutes before serving.
  • You can substitute heavy cream with half-and-half for a lighter version.
