Ingredients

  • 34 lbs pork shoulder
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 12 slider buns
  • Coleslaw (for topping, optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Rub the spice mixture all over the pork shoulder.
  3. Place the pork shoulder in the slow cooker and pour the BBQ sauce over the top.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the pork is tender and easily shreds with a fork.
  5. Once cooked, remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks.
  6. Mix the shredded pork with the remaining BBQ sauce in the slow cooker.
  7. Serve the pulled pork on slider buns and top with coleslaw if desired.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the pork shoulder in the spice mixture overnight.
  • You can use any type of BBQ sauce you prefer.
  • Leftover pulled pork can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
