Description

A savory skillet dish featuring tender chicken and mushrooms in a rich wine sauce.


Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Season chicken with salt, pepper, and thyme.
  3. Cook chicken in the skillet for 5-6 minutes per side until golden. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add butter and sauté garlic and mushrooms for 3-4 minutes.
  5. Pour in wine and chicken broth, scraping the bottom of the pan.
  6. Simmer for 5 minutes until slightly reduced.
  7. Return chicken to the skillet and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  8. Serve hot.

  • Use dry white wine for best flavor.
