Ingredients

  • 200g seafood mix (shrimp, squid, fish balls)
  • 2 cups of fresh kerupuk (crackers), soaked in warm water
  • 3 tablespoons of chili paste
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish
  • Lime wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. In a pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté until fragrant.
  3. Stir in the chili paste and cook for 2 minutes.
  4. Add the seafood mix and cook until they are just cooked through, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Mix in the soaked kerupuk, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, and salt. Stir well until everything is combined and heated through.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with fresh cilantro and lime wedges.

Notes

  • Adjust the spice level by adding more or less chili paste.
  • Feel free to use your favorite seafood or even add vegetables for variety.
  • For a more aesthetic look, arrange the seafood and kerupuk artistically on the plate.
