Description
A refreshing and fruity granita made with rosé wine and fresh raspberries, perfect for summer gatherings or a light dessert.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups rosé wine
- 2 cups fresh raspberries
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine the water and sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and let cool.
- In a blender, combine the raspberries and cooled sugar water. Blend until smooth.
- Strain the raspberry mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a bowl to remove the seeds.
- Stir in the rosé wine and lemon juice until well combined.
- Pour the mixture into a shallow dish and place it in the freezer.
- After 1 hour, use a fork to scrape the mixture, breaking it up into granita flakes. Return to the freezer.
- Repeat scraping every 30 minutes for about 3 hours, or until the granita is fully frozen and fluffy.
- To serve, scoop the granita into bowls or glasses and top with fresh raspberries.
Notes
- Make sure to use a good quality rosé wine for the best flavor.
- You can adjust the sweetness by adding more or less sugar to your taste.
