Rosé Granita with Fresh Raspberries: 5 Irresistible Steps to Chill

  • Author: ushinzomr

Description

A refreshing and fruity granita made with rosé wine and fresh raspberries, perfect for summer gatherings or a light dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups rosé wine
  • 2 cups fresh raspberries
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the water and sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and let cool.
  2. In a blender, combine the raspberries and cooled sugar water. Blend until smooth.
  3. Strain the raspberry mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a bowl to remove the seeds.
  4. Stir in the rosé wine and lemon juice until well combined.
  5. Pour the mixture into a shallow dish and place it in the freezer.
  6. After 1 hour, use a fork to scrape the mixture, breaking it up into granita flakes. Return to the freezer.
  7. Repeat scraping every 30 minutes for about 3 hours, or until the granita is fully frozen and fluffy.
  8. To serve, scoop the granita into bowls or glasses and top with fresh raspberries.

Notes

  • Make sure to use a good quality rosé wine for the best flavor.
  • You can adjust the sweetness by adding more or less sugar to your taste.
