- 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Pat the chickpeas dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
- In a bowl, toss the chickpeas with olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper until evenly coated.
- Transfer the seasoned chickpeas to the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Cook for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the chickpeas are crispy and golden brown.
- Remove from the air fryer and let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add other spices like cumin or nutritional yeast.
- Make sure not to overcrowd the air fryer basket for even cooking.
- Store any leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
