- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 large egg
- 1 tbsp red food coloring
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp white vinegar
- 16 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, pureed
- 1 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
- Mix flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
- Add oil, buttermilk, egg, food coloring, vanilla, and vinegar. Stir until smooth.
- Pour into the pan and bake for 30 minutes. Cool completely.
- Beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Add strawberry puree.
- Whip heavy cream to stiff peaks. Fold into cream cheese mixture.
- Spread cheesecake layer over cooled cake. Chill for 4 hours before serving.
