  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to fit your tart pan.
  3. Transfer the pastry to the tart pan and trim the edges. Prick the bottom with a fork to prevent it from puffing up.
  4. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt until the sugar dissolves.
  5. Add the sliced pears to the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pears are tender and caramelized.
