- 6 cups Fresh peaches (Peeled, pitted, and sliced)
- 1 cup Granulated sugar (Divided)
- 1 cup All-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Salt
- 1 cup Milk
- 1/2 cup Unsalted butter (Melted)
- 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon (Optional for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the sliced peaches with 1/2 cup of sugar. Toss to coat and let sit for about 10 minutes.
- In another bowl, mix together the flour, remaining 1/2 cup of sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the milk and melted butter to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Pour the batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Spoon the peach mixture on top of the batter, including the juices.
- Sprinkle with cinnamon if desired.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
