- 1 pound strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 pound blueberries
- 1 pound raspberries
- 1 store-bought or homemade pound cake, cut into cubes
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, continuing to whip until stiff peaks form.
- In a trifle dish or large glass bowl, layer half of the pound cake cubes at the bottom.
- Add a layer of half of the strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries.
- Spread half of the whipped cream over the berries.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining pound cake, berries, and whipped cream.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving to allow flavors to meld.
Notes
- You can substitute the pound cake with angel food cake for a lighter option.
