- 1 cup granulated sugar

- For the Buttercream Frosting:
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Edible glitter and sprinkles for decoration
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk. Mix until just combined.
- Divide the batter evenly among the prepared cupcake liners, filling each about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow cupcakes to cool completely on a wire rack.
- For the buttercream frosting, beat the softened butter until creamy. Gradually add the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract, beating until fluffy.
- Frost the cooled cupcakes with the buttercream and sprinkle with edible glitter and colorful sprinkles.
