- 1 box of vanilla cake mix
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup whipped cream

- Edible flowers (optional)
- Food coloring (optional)
- Sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water. Mix until well combined.
- Divide the batter evenly between the two prepared pans. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
- Once the cakes are cool, place one layer on a serving plate. Spread a layer of whipped cream on top.
- Place the second layer on top of the whipped cream. Frost the top and sides with whipped cream.
- Decorate with fresh berries, edible flowers, and sprinkles as desired. For a pop of color, mix a few drops of food coloring into the whipped cream before frosting the cake.
- Slice and serve to celebrate Mother’s Day!
