Ingredients

  • 2 racks of baby back ribs
  • 1 cup of BBQ sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of paprika
  • 1 tablespoon of garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon of onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Aluminum foil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill for indirect heat.
  2. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better flavor absorption.
  3. In a bowl, mix brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  4. Rub the spice mixture all over the ribs.
  5. Wrap each rack of ribs tightly in aluminum foil and place them on the grill away from direct heat.
  6. Cook the ribs for about 2.5 to 3 hours, checking occasionally.
  7. Remove the ribs from the foil and brush with BBQ sauce.
  8. Grill for an additional 15-20 minutes until the sauce is caramelized.
  9. Let the ribs rest for a few minutes before cutting and serving.

Notes

  • For extra smoky flavor, add wood chips to the grill.
  • You can prepare the ribs a day in advance and refrigerate them until grilling.
