- 1 large angel food cake
- 4 cups mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- for garnish fresh mint leaves
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, continuing to whip until stiff peaks form.
- Cut the angel food cake into small cubes.
- In a large trifle dish or individual serving glasses, layer the cake cubes, mixed berries, and whipped cream. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with whipped cream on top.
- Garnish with fresh mint leaves.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
Notes
- You can substitute any of your favorite berries.
- For a lighter version, you can use Greek yogurt instead of whipped cream.
