  • Author: ushinzomr

Description

Celebrate Memorial Day with delicious BBQ ribs that are tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Perfect for grilling and serving at your backyard cookout!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 racks of baby back ribs
  • 1 cup of your favorite BBQ sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)
  • 1 teaspoon mustard powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to medium heat (about 300°F).
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and mustard powder.
  3. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better flavor and tenderness. Rub the olive oil over the ribs, then coat them evenly with the spice mixture.
  4. Place the ribs on the grill bone-side down. Close the lid and grill for 2.5 to 3 hours, turning occasionally, until the ribs are tender and the meat pulls away from the bones.
  5. During the last 30 minutes of cooking, brush the ribs with BBQ sauce, allowing it to caramelize over the heat.
  6. Remove the ribs from the grill and let them rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve with additional BBQ sauce on the side.

Notes

  • For added flavor, marinate the ribs in the spice mixture overnight in the refrigerator.
  • Feel free to use your favorite store-bought BBQ sauce or make your own from scratch.
  • These ribs can also be cooked in the oven at 300°F for 2 to 3 hours if a grill is not available.
