- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 3/4 cup water
- 8 taco shells
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- Sour cream and salsa for serving
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic until the beef is browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Add taco seasoning and water to the skillet, stirring to combine. Bring to a simmer and cook for about 5 minutes until thickened.
- While the beef mixture is simmering, warm the taco shells according to package instructions.
- To assemble, fill each taco shell with the beef mixture, then top with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and any additional toppings you desire.
- Serve with sour cream and salsa on the side.
