- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 green onions, sliced
- Cooked rice, for serving
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon.
- Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Add the soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and black pepper to the skillet. Stir to combine.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for about 5 minutes, until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Remove from heat and stir in the sliced green onions.
- Serve the Korean beef over cooked rice.
Notes
- Feel free to add vegetables like bell peppers or broccoli for extra nutrition.
- If you prefer a spicy kick, add some red pepper flakes to the sauce.
