A quick and easy Korean beef bowl recipe that’s full of flavor and perfect for a weeknight dinner.
Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 cups cooked rice
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1 carrot, julienned
- 2 green onions, sliced
- Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
- Add soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes to the skillet. Stir until combined and let simmer for 5 minutes.
- While the beef is simmering, steam the broccoli and carrots until tender.
- To serve, place cooked rice in bowls and top with the beef mixture, steamed vegetables, and sliced green onions.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and enjoy!
Notes
- Feel free to add other veggies like bell peppers or snap peas.
- You can substitute ground beef with ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
