A tender, juicy beef brisket slow-cooked for 3 hours with a rich balsamic onion sauce. Perfect for a hearty meal.
Ingredients

- 3 lbs beef brisket
- 2 large onions, thinly sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp dried thyme
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C).
- Season brisket with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe pot. Sear brisket on both sides until browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pot, sauté onions and garlic until soft.
- Add balsamic vinegar, beef broth, brown sugar, and thyme. Stir well.
- Return brisket to the pot, cover, and bake for 3 hours or until tender.
- Slice and serve with the onion sauce.
Notes
- For a thicker sauce, simmer uncovered after cooking.
- Let brisket rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
