  • Author: ushinzomr

Description

This refreshing Jalapeño Watermelon Margarita combines the sweetness of watermelon with a spicy kick from jalapeños, perfect for summer gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh watermelon, cubed
  • 1 jalapeño pepper, sliced (seeds removed for less heat)
  • 1/2 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 cup tequila
  • 1/4 cup orange liqueur (like Cointreau or Triple Sec)
  • 1 tablespoon agave syrup (optional, for sweetness)
  • Salt for rimming the glasses
  • Lime wedges and watermelon slices for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine the watermelon cubes and jalapeño slices. Blend until smooth.
  2. Strain the watermelon mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher to remove the pulp.
  3. Add the lime juice, tequila, orange liqueur, and agave syrup (if using) to the pitcher. Stir well to combine.
  4. Rim the glasses with salt by running a lime wedge around the edge and dipping it into a plate of salt.
  5. Fill the glasses with ice and pour the margarita mixture over the ice.
  6. Garnish with lime wedges and watermelon slices. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of jalapeño to your spice preference.
  • For a frozen version, blend all ingredients with ice until smooth.
