Description
A fresh and tangy salsa verde made with tomatillos and fresh herbs, perfect for tacos, chips, or as a topping for your favorite dishes.

- 1 lb Tomatillos (husked and rinsed)
- 1/2 cup Fresh cilantro (chopped)
- 1/4 cup Onion (diced)
- 1 Jalapeño (seeded and chopped)
- 2 tbsp Lime juice (freshly squeezed)
- to taste Salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Place the tomatillos on a baking sheet and roast for about 15-20 minutes until they are soft and slightly charred.
- Allow the tomatillos to cool slightly, then transfer them to a blender.
- Add the chopped cilantro, onion, jalapeño, lime juice, and salt to the blender.
- Blend until the mixture is smooth or to your desired consistency.
- Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
- Serve with tortilla chips, tacos, or as a topping for your favorite dishes.
Notes
- You can adjust the spice level by adding more or less jalapeño.
- For a smoky flavor, try adding a chipotle pepper in adobo sauce.
