Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash and peel the potatoes. Slice them thinly using a mandoline or sharp knife to about 1/8 inch thick.
  2. Soak the sliced potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch. This helps achieve crispiness.
  3. Drain and pat the potato slices dry with a clean kitchen towel.
  4. In a large bowl, toss the potato slices with olive oil, sea salt, paprika, and garlic powder until evenly coated.
  5. Preheat your air fryer to 360°F (182°C).
  6. Place the potato slices in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Avoid overcrowding for even cooking.
  7. Air fry the potato slices for 10-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.
  8. Remove the chips from the air fryer and let them cool slightly before serving.
