- 2 large russet potatoes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
Instructions
- Wash and peel the potatoes. Slice them thinly using a mandoline or sharp knife to about 1/8 inch thick.
- Soak the sliced potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch. This helps achieve crispiness.
- Drain and pat the potato slices dry with a clean kitchen towel.
- In a large bowl, toss the potato slices with olive oil, sea salt, paprika, and garlic powder until evenly coated.
- Preheat your air fryer to 360°F (182°C).
- Place the potato slices in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Avoid overcrowding for even cooking.
- Air fry the potato slices for 10-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the chips from the air fryer and let them cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, experiment with different seasonings such as onion powder, chili powder, or cheese powder.
