Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups chocolate chips or your choice of mix-ins

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips or your choice of mix-ins and optional sprinkles.
  7. Scoop tablespoon-sized amounts of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the centers are soft.
  9. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes
