- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 packet taco seasoning (or homemade)
- 1/2 cup water
- 8 taco shells
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- Sour cream and salsa for serving
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks.
- Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the onion is translucent.
- Stir in the taco seasoning and water. Bring to a simmer and let it cook for about 5 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
- While the beef mixture is cooking, prepare your taco shells according to package instructions.
- To assemble the tacos, spoon the beef mixture into each taco shell and top with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and any additional toppings you desire.
- Serve with sour cream and salsa on the side.
