This succulent grilled ribeye is paired with a creamy potato gratin for a deliciously satisfying meal.

- 2 pieces Ribeye steaks
- 2 tablespoons Olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Black pepper
- 4 large Potatoes
- 1 cup Heavy cream
- 1 cup Grated cheese (e.g., Gruyère or Cheddar)
- 2 tablespoons Butter
- 1 teaspoon Fresh thyme
Instructions
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Rub the ribeye steaks with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Place the steaks on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness.
- While the steaks are grilling, prepare the potato gratin. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Slice the potatoes thinly and layer them in a greased baking dish.
- In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream and butter until melted. Pour over the potatoes.
- Sprinkle the grated cheese and fresh thyme on top.
- Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Once the ribeye is done, let it rest for a few minutes before serving with the potato gratin.
Notes
- Feel free to add additional herbs or spices to the ribeye rub for extra flavor.
- You can use different types of cheese for the gratin based on your preference.
