Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a standard sheet cake pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the softened butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and milk to the dry ingredients. Beat on medium speed until well combined and smooth.
- Pour the batter into the prepared sheet cake pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then turn it out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
- Once the cake is cool, frost the top with buttercream frosting. Use food coloring to tint the frosting if desired.
