Frozen Banana Peanut Butter Bites: 5 Irresistible Treats to Enjoy

  • Author: ushinzomr

Description

A delicious and healthy snack made from frozen banana slices coated in creamy peanut butter and dipped in chocolate.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional)
  • Sea salt for sprinkling (optional)

Instructions

  1. Slice the bananas into 1/2-inch thick rounds.
  2. Spread a small amount of peanut butter on one side of each banana slice and top with another slice to create a sandwich.
  3. Place the banana sandwiches on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and freeze for at least 1 hour.
  4. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine dark chocolate chips and coconut oil. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until melted and smooth.
  5. Dip each frozen banana sandwich in the melted chocolate, allowing excess chocolate to drip off.
  6. Return the chocolate-coated banana bites to the baking sheet. Sprinkle with sea salt if desired.
  7. Freeze for an additional 1-2 hours until the chocolate is set. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the freezer.

Notes

  • You can substitute almond butter or any nut butter of your choice for peanut butter.
  • Add toppings like crushed nuts or sprinkles before the chocolate hardens for extra flavor and texture.
  • These bites are best consumed within a week for optimal freshness.
