Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the sliced peaches, 1/2 cup of sugar, lemon juice, and cinnamon. Toss to coat and set aside.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and remaining 1/2 cup of sugar.
  4. Add the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract to the flour mixture. Stir until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  6. Spoon the peach mixture evenly over the batter. Do not stir.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the peaches are bubbly.
