A rich and creamy chocolate mousse made with simple ingredients.
Ingredients

- 200g dark chocolate (70% cocoa)
- 4 large eggs, separated
- 50g granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 pinch salt
- 200ml heavy cream
Instructions
- Melt the chocolate in a heatproof bowl over simmering water, then let it cool slightly.
- Whisk the egg yolks with half the sugar and vanilla until pale and thick.
- Fold the melted chocolate into the yolk mixture.
- In a separate bowl, whip the cream to soft peaks.
- In another bowl, beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until foamy, then gradually add the remaining sugar and beat to stiff peaks.
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the chocolate mixture, then fold in the egg whites.
- Divide into serving glasses and refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
Notes
- Use high-quality chocolate for the best flavor.
- Ensure no egg yolk gets into the whites for proper whipping.
- Chill the mousse thoroughly before serving.
