Ingredients

- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
- Vanilla ice cream (for serving)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9-inch pie dish and set aside.
- In a bowl, whisk together sugar, flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
- Beat in eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Fold in chopped walnuts if using.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pie dish.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the edges are set but the center is still slightly soft.
- Let cool for 10 minutes before serving warm with vanilla ice cream.
Notes
- Do not overbake—the center should remain fudgy.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
- For a nut-free version, omit walnuts.
