Description
These crispy chicken wings are perfectly seasoned and baked to golden brown perfection. They’re easy to make and perfect for any gathering or game day.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds chicken wings
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Place a wire rack on top of the baking sheet.
- In a large bowl, combine the baking powder, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper.
- Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. This helps achieve maximum crispiness.
- Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss to coat them evenly with the seasoning mixture.
- Drizzle the olive oil over the wings and toss again until well coated.
- Arrange the wings in a single layer on the wire rack, ensuring they are not touching.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, turning them halfway through, until they are crispy and golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, you can broil the wings for an additional 2-3 minutes at the end of cooking.
- Feel free to toss the cooked wings in your favorite sauce (like buffalo or BBQ) for added flavor.
