Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add chicken and cook until no longer pink (about 6-7 minutes per side). Remove and slice.
  3. In the same pan, sauté garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Pour in heavy cream, stirring constantly. Bring to a simmer.
  5. Add Parmesan, salt, pepper, basil, and red pepper flakes. Stir until cheese melts and sauce thickens.
  6. Return chicken to the pan and toss with pasta. Serve immediately.
