Description
Delicious and crispy crab cakes made with fresh crab meat, seasoned to perfection, and pan-fried until golden brown.

- 1 lb crab meat (fresh or canned, picked over for shells)
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
- 1 egg (beaten)
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs (plus more for coating)
- 2 tablespoons green onion (finely chopped)
- to taste salt
- to taste black pepper
- for frying olive oil
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine crab meat, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, beaten egg, bread crumbs, green onion, salt, and black pepper.
- Mix gently until all ingredients are combined, being careful not to break up the crab meat too much.
- Form the mixture into patties, about 1/2 inch thick.
- Coat each patty with additional bread crumbs.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Fry the crab cakes for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the skillet and drain on paper towels.
- Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
