Ingredients

  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder (optional)
  • Sesame seeds or everything bagel seasoning for topping

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the cottage cheese, flour, baking powder, salt, egg, olive oil, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until a dough forms.
  2. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 2 minutes until smooth.
  3. Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces and shape each piece into a bagel by rolling it into a ball and then poking a hole in the center with your finger. Gently stretch the hole to form a bagel shape.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Place the bagels in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not touching. You may need to cook in batches.
  6. Sprinkle sesame seeds or everything bagel seasoning on top of each bagel.
  7. Air fry the bagels for 10-12 minutes or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
  8. Remove from the air fryer and let cool slightly before serving.
