Description
These cottage cheese bagels are a healthy and delicious alternative to traditional bagels, perfect for a quick breakfast or snack. Made in the air fryer, they are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.

- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
- 1 teaspoon onion powder (optional)
- Sesame seeds or everything bagel seasoning for topping
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the cottage cheese, flour, baking powder, salt, egg, olive oil, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 2 minutes until smooth.
- Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces and shape each piece into a bagel by rolling it into a ball and then poking a hole in the center with your finger. Gently stretch the hole to form a bagel shape.
- Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Place the bagels in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not touching. You may need to cook in batches.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds or everything bagel seasoning on top of each bagel.
- Air fry the bagels for 10-12 minutes or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove from the air fryer and let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Feel free to add herbs or spices to the dough for extra flavor.
- These bagels can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
