Description
These condensed milk cookies are soft, chewy, and incredibly easy to make. Perfect for an afternoon treat or dessert!
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract to the mixture and mix until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. If using, fold in the chocolate chips.
- Scoop tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden. The centers may look slightly underbaked; they will firm up as they cool.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For added flavor, consider mixing in nuts or dried fruit.
- Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
