- 1 cup (240ml) sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Optional: chocolate chips or nuts for mixing in
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add in the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. If using, fold in chocolate chips or nuts.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized amounts of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For a variation, you can add cocoa powder to make chocolate condensed milk cookies.
- These cookies can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
- Feel free to experiment with different mix-ins such as dried fruit or coconut flakes.
