Ingredients

  • 1 cup (240ml) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Optional: chocolate chips or nuts for mixing in

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add in the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. If using, fold in chocolate chips or nuts.
  6. Scoop tablespoon-sized amounts of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  8. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For a variation, you can add cocoa powder to make chocolate condensed milk cookies.
