- 1 (14 lb) whole turkey, thawed
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped

- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 large onion, quartered
- 2 carrots, cut into chunks
- 2 celery stalks, cut into chunks
- 4 cups stuffing mix
- 1 cup dried cranberries
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 1/2 cup green onions, sliced
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
- In a bowl, mix together the softened butter, rosemary, thyme, sage, salt, and pepper.
- Gently loosen the skin of the turkey and spread half of the herb butter mixture under the skin, rubbing the rest all over the outside of the turkey.
- Place the onion, carrots, and celery in the bottom of a roasting pan. Pour chicken broth over the vegetables.
- Stuff the turkey cavity with the stuffing mix, dried cranberries, and chopped pecans. Tie the legs together with kitchen twine.
- Place the turkey on a rack in the roasting pan and roast in the preheated oven. Baste every 30 minutes with the pan juices. Cook until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C), about 3 to 4 hours.
- Remove the turkey from the oven and let it rest for at least 20 minutes before carving.
