A refreshing and tangy cherry lemonade perfect for summer days.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups Fresh cherries
- 1 cup Fresh lemon juice
- 3/4 cup Granulated sugar
- 4 cups Water
- as needed Ice cubes
- for garnish Lemon slices
- for garnish Cherries
Instructions
- In a blender, combine the pitted cherries and 1 cup of water. Blend until smooth.
- Strain the cherry puree through a fine mesh sieve into a large pitcher, discarding the solids.
- Add the freshly squeezed lemon juice, sugar, and remaining 3 cups of water to the pitcher. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
- Taste and adjust the sweetness by adding more sugar if desired.
- Serve the cherry lemonade over ice cubes and garnish with lemon slices and whole cherries.
Notes
- For an extra kick, add a splash of club soda for fizz.
- You can also use frozen cherries if fresh ones are not available.
