- 1 cup shredded Gruyere cheese
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 baguette or crackers for serving
Instructions
- Heat butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add onions, salt, and sugar. Cook, stirring occasionally, until deeply caramelized (about 30 minutes).
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- In a mixing bowl, combine caramelized onions, Gruyere cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, and garlic powder.
- Transfer mixture to an oven-safe dish and bake at 375°F for 15 minutes or until bubbly.
- Serve warm with sliced baguette or crackers.
