  • Author: ushinzomr

Description

This Caramel Apple Crisp is a warm, gooey dessert featuring caramel-coated apples topped with a crunchy oat topping. Perfect for fall gatherings or cozy nights in!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 medium apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup cold butter, cubed
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, toss the sliced apples with caramel sauce until well coated. Spread the mixture evenly in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  3. In another bowl, combine the rolled oats, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and salt. Add the cubed butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Sprinkle the oat mixture over the caramel apple layer in the baking dish.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender.
  6. Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, you can add a teaspoon of vanilla extract to the apple mixture.
  • Feel free to mix in chopped nuts like pecans or walnuts for added crunch.
